Splunk's Plano, Texas renovation is a representation of the fun and quirky identity of the company.
I worked closely with the interiors team to emphasize the design concept for each floor, which were based on raw materials. Masonry, Wood, and Fiber themes transform into abstract prints and physical textures woven into the canvas of the space.
You'll also spot Buttercup, the beloved Splunk mascot, in many "Easter Egg" branding moments scattered throughout the floors. He appears in a tile mosaic inspired by classic arcade games, transformed into Warhol-style prints, and hidden on concrete columns. The elegant wayfinding guides the user through the space and ties everything together.
Cushman & Wakefield’s vision for their Austin hub was a workplace that clearly expressed the company’s values and branding layered with contextual references to the City of Austin. I worked closely with our interiors team to create subtle nods to Austin’s fabled music scene, from the wood reception wall inspired by the chords of Willie Nelson’s “Always On My Mind,” to the hidden library space lined with a custom record collection selected by the Cushman team. These installations bring Austin's local flavor into the space, giving this office a highly personal feel.
Yeti's branding captures the attention of specific target markets through beautiful photography that conveys a sense of adventure to their customers. I drew inspiration from their branding categories of Fishing, Outdoor Adventures, and BBQ to create unexpected, playful designs using large-scale hand drawings. The large YETI logo was created using their signature Tarpon Beverage Entry Tool.
The Perry–Castañeda Library was renovated to include the Learning Commons, which includes an updated Writing Center and several media and learning labs. I took inspiration from the library's amazing archives and rich literary history. The main wall features excerpts from a poem by a modern Texas poet, and binary code inspired graphics on the Media Lab's glass walls.
The lobby of the classic Santikos Embassy Theater in San Antonio was renovated to reflect unique qualities of the venue. I curated all the movie memorabilia from Santikos' vast collection to feature in the new display cases. Each display was thoughtfully designed to showcase their most important pieces, including display system, posters, signage, and movie stills.
